Matt & Zack are the goofy, funky folk-pop-reggae duo you didn’t know you needed. Hailing from Southwest Florida, the two multi-instrumentalists met two and a half years ago thanks to Instagram (though they jokingly tell people they met under the now-defunct Craigslist “men seeking men” section—strictly searching for bandmates, but finding plenty of other surprises along the way). What started as a joke has turned into one of the most exciting independent success stories on the scene.

Their comedy song “It’s Not Wrong” exploded across platforms, racking up over 20 million streams/views and proving that humor and musicianship can go hand in hand. Since then, they’ve toured independently across the continental U.S., building a grassroots fanbase that keeps packing out coffee shops, backyards, bars, and festivals.

In just the past six months—since officially launching “Matt & Zack” as a band—they’ve already grown to nearly 11,000 followers on Instagram, gone viral repeatedly with videos like their million-view Shrek cover at a random bar gig, and launched a series where they sing disgusting songs beautifully in beautiful places. Their crowd reaction clips have become a signature, further amplifying their reputation as both technically skilled musicians and crowd-pleasing entertainers.
